Our two-bedroom holiday apartment, La Campana, is located in Panzano in Chianti on the second floor of a two storey building, above our furniture restoration workshop. The building dates from 1913 and our apartment has been fully restored. It has a bright and modern bathroom while preserving the beautiful terracotta tiled floors, beamed ceilings and tradition style of construction of the other rooms. There are antique furnishings in every room. On the side facing away from the road, there is a completely private terrace facing southwest over the vineyards of the famous Conca d'Oro valley, with a magnificent view out over the Chianti hills in the distance. This is one of the most famous views in Chianti and may be enjoyed from the bedroom windows as well as from the terrace. The latter is large and comfortable enough to allow you to have breakfast or dinner outside. Since the terrace is completely private, it is also ideal for sunbathing. Access is via an internal wooden staircase.
La Campana is within a very easy walk of the shops, restaurants and enoteca of Panzano, and the bus stop for the SITA bus to Florence is just five minutes walk from the door. Everything you need to prepare your own meals is readily available in Panzano, and there is a good Coop supermarket in Greve, ten minutes away by car. Public parking is readily available just below La Campana or nearby. |

The main door of the house opens off the via Chiantigiana where it passes through Panzano, exactly half way between Florence and Sienna. Inside, there is a pietra serena stairway leading up to the first floor hall.
The main space of the apartment is a large open kitchen and a large adjoining dining and living room with a fireplace and foldout sofabed. The roof terrace is accessed via a wooden staircase and mezzanine.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, stove top, coffee maker, toaster and kettle, plus cooking utensils and cutlery. |

The two bedrooms are both large. One is double with an en suite bathroom with shower and toilet, the other is a twin room, and a foldout sofa bed suitable for one or two persons is available in the living room. |

Monia and Franco are natives of Panzano. While Franco runs his antique furniture restoration workshop, Monia looks after the family property down in the Conca d'Oro together with her vacation rental apartment, La Campana, in Panzano. Both are ready and willing to assist you during your stay so that you enjoy all the wondeful things the Chianti territory has to offer. So don't hesitate to ask them questions! |

Prices
from 500 to 700 euros per week, depending on season.
We offer a significant discount for stays of one month or more.
Included in the price: ADSL internet access, electricity, gas for cooking, towels, bed linen (changed once per week), hot and cold water, final cleaning.
Not included in the price:
1) Heating, if needed, costs 1 euro per liter used (normal consumption at a medium temperature can be about 8/10 euro per day for the whole apartment, depending on weather conditions and duration of use).
2) Additional cleaning, if needed during the week, costs 9 euros per hour. A mid-week cleaning costs Euro 40.00 to clean the apartment and if necessary change the linen and towels.
Chef service, cooking classes and minibus transport can be arranged upon request.

Payment Conditions
We request a 30% deposit paid by bank transfer or credit card at the time of confirmation of your reservation. This deposit is forfeited for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival. The balance should be paid upon arrival in cash (euros) or euro cheque. |

How to get to La Campana
There are several ways to reach Panzano. The most commonly used route is to follow the SS 222 (Chiantigiana) from Florence or Sienna. This route is also used by the comfortable SITA pullman buses leaving from the SITA bus station near SMN railway station in Florence. The trip takes 1 hour and 10 minutes, and there are buses several times a day.
From Bologna and the north, exit the A1 Superstrada at Firenze Certosa and follow the signs for Greve and then Panzano. From Rome and the south, exit the A1 Superstrada at Valdarno or Incisa and drive to Greve and Panzano via Figline.
It is also possible to use the Florence - Sienna autostrada and exit at Tavarnelle or San Donato for Sambuca, Badia a Passignano and Panzano.
We are located at number 8 on the SS 222 just 40 m south of Piazza Buccarelli in the centre of Panzano.
